Happy Work It Wednesday! It's June, can you believe it?
A few days ago I went to a networking gathering in Costa Mesa. It was one of the most enjoyable events I had been to as it involved not only connecting with others but learning and collaboration. at the event we watched two TED talks from two impactful leaders and then discussed what we got from it and how we can utilize this information within our own companies and projects.
Incredibly inspired by the first talk with Elon Musk, I decided to share with you a few points that came out of his talk. It was fascinating to hear why he built and co-founded the companies that he did. The recurring message that I kept indirectly hearing was his purpose behind every project he took on. He created his companies only because there was a problem that needed to be fixed. His purpose was beyond himself and focused on global issues that can benefit the world and current human conditions. The whole time I couldn't help but turn the magnify glass on myself and Rise Up For You. The question I repeatedly asked myself is,"How can we improve? and at what magnitude do we want to impact others and expand?" His interview was brilliant and definitely one to watch. Here are the most stand out points of his talk:
His purpose was associated with a need on a large scale. Beyond the planet we live on and into outer space. He is impacting the world! Talk about taking risk and really having a mindset of unlimited possibilities.
Elon is always one step above everybody else. He's above the trends and looking to innovate in ways that no one else has dared to step foot.
He is fearless! Elon takes incredible risk and stops at nothing to make his visions a reality. He exudes confidence when he speaks and believes in his own ideas.
